Expungement process

Eligibility for Setting Aside Criminal Convictions"
  • If you have one (1) felony and no more than two (2) misdemeanors on your record.
  • If you have two (2) misdemeanors and no felonies on your record.
  • If you have a charge of Criminal Sexual Conduct (4th degree only) and if committed prior to January 12, 2015.
  • If you have conviction cases in Michigan ONLY.  Cases in other states will be used to determine eligibility.
  • If you have juvenile adjudications you wish to set aside consult an attorney regarding the expungement process.
  • You can apply to set aside an eligible conviction five (5) years after the completion of your sentence including jail time, probation, or parole.
